Can I just browse hangouts myself?
Yes. Explore the map, open a hangout and decide whether to join. Tag Along and Capy AI are additional ways to discover hangouts. You can browse or create your own without using either.
Do I need a group already?
You can request to join an existing community hangout or book a hosted hangout on your own, subject to its requirements and availability. You can also create something and share it with people you know.
How do Capy invitations reach me?
With the required setup, invitations can arrive through iPhone Live Activities or Android notifications. Suggestions depend on available hangouts and your preferences. You can view an invitation or pass, and pause Capy at any time.
Is Capybara free?
The app is free to download. A hangout, venue or activity may have its own cost. Check the listing and any booking price before you commit.
What are Hangout Drops?
At participating venues, a group that joins and checks in together can unlock a Drop. Check the listing for availability and group requirements.
